Marketing Capstone

Hello everyone! I had the luxury of visiting Marathon's headquarters last Thursday in Findlay, Ohio. I visited because they are the company involved with the marketing student's capstone project. We had to dress up business professional, and I always say, when you look good, you feel good too. 

The basis of our project is to market to new employees why they should choose to work at Marathon. While we were visiting, we got introduced to a lot of methods that Marathon uses within the company to keep their employees, as well as attractive attributes that would make a person consider starting their future there. Marathon is also very involved in the community around Findlay. The second half of our day was spent walking around downtown. We walked from Marathon's headquarters to the Findlay performing arts center. Inside the arts center we got to go backstage and tour to give us a visualization of how the people like to give back to the community. 

Lastly, and my favorite part of the day, was lunch. We walked to Findlay Brewing Company and ate there. They had some great food choices to choose from, but I chose the chicken, bacon and ranch flatbread and had a few glasses of water. It was an overall great experience, and it provided my group a lot more understanding of the Findlay community. I think this trip was necessary when trying to grasp and put into words just how interactive the community truly is.
