Thankfully, we all know what influencers are, which is the first concept you need to understand for this chapter. Influencers can be celebrities to your parents or siblings. The power of an influencer can persuade your decisions on how we feel about a product which prompted he term Influencer Marketing. Influencer Marketing uses a popular influencer to promote a brand message or products. Although due to the insane use of technology you would think this is new, but that is contrary. This has been around for a very long time dating all the way back to 1933. First used in a Dodge commercial, where a supermodel and Olympic athlete were seen riding together in a Dodge Salon "6".  

 


What does it take to be a good influencer? That question roams around in everyone's mind. To be a a good influencer you need to have a very large reach. Being able to tap into large audiences is the social key keeping you in business. Being credible and having authenticity are two characteristics that will validate you as a good influencer. Actually being involved in what you say you do gives trust to your audience. Being engaging is another characteristic that will come to your benefit. A wise man once said, "No one illustrates the concept of a great social media influencer more than the king of snapchat, DJ Khalid"

 

Some benefits that come from Influencer Marketing include the benefits of increased expose, brand awareness, improved search ranking, new leads, conversions, effectively reach a target market, and more credibility. There are so many different things that are positive when thinking of using Influencer Marketing.
